I took to the slopes of Zermatt for ski-racing at the age of four, now I have the highest Swiss, Italian and British ski instructors qualification and have been working as a ski instructor in Switzerland since 2011. I know where to go and how to get you there safely, considering your experience, ability and personal goals. Wishing to help my clients to recover from skiing, I started learning massage therapy. Now I am able to provide various types of massage (sport, deep tissue, trigger point, relaxation etc.).
Luca was fantastic and have been a lovely host throughout the days we were with him. Even when weather conditions are not optimal for skiing, he was quick to think on his feet and provide other actives recommendations in the area. On the slopes, he is a fantastic coach and his lessons focus on the basic technique of skiing which I think it can go a long way for people want to do advancing skiing in the near future. He was super passionate about this work and most importunely effective communication on and off the slope, definitely would strongly recommend for skier at all levels.
Andy replaced Luca. He was great with my son and he really improved his skiing ability. Thank you
Loved my lessons with Luca. He was super patient, friendly and an excellent teacher!
Luca is very professional and my daughter learned a lot with him in 3 hours.
Les cours avec ma fille de 8 ans se sont très bien passés. Luca est très gentil et apprend très bien à skier aux enfants.
We had engaged Luca for private ski lessons for our son. After the four hours we could definitely see an improvement in our son’s technique. Luca is motivated to make you reach the next level by applying nice educational tricks. Definitely recommend him!
Great lesson and instructor! My fiancé and I are intermediate level but haven’t skied for almost 10 years.Marcello and Luca helped us to ameliorate our technique and tackle bad habits. 100% recommended
He was great, especially patient with my wife who was a first time skier. Highly recommend
We skied with Luca for morning sessions as a family of 4; The best compliment we can give is we went from Blue runs to doing some decent Red run skiing by the end of the time with Luca. He has a range of different tips and coaching techniques and was able to give coaching to all of us during the sessions. Our two kids of 15 and 12 improved lots during the week - and had remarks on their technique from friends we skied with that week. Luca was prompt at meeting in the mornings - with advance texts on where we should ski that day, he was good at communicating and listened to any concerns we had. It was really enjoyable skiing with Luca this December!
After a couple of days skiing in Zermatt, I decided I needed a couple of lessons to neaten up my skiing and to try and keep up with my husband! I recognise myself as a beginner, but had gotten into some bad habits along the way! Luca straight away tackled these habits in such an understanding way. He had some really good tips and fun ways of explaining things which could be applied to different skiing skills! Half way through my first session, he had me down a black run without me realising!! He made me feel so much more confident, and I can’t thank him enough for being so patient with me. Luca was really easy to get along with, and we will no doubt be booking with him again and even my husband next time!
My son (12) and I (50s) spent a wonderful four days with Luca in Zermatt in February 2019. I was initially hesitant to make a large payment through Maison Sport "sight / unseen" - but proceeded and communicated a little with Luca ahead of our arrival in Zermatt. Everything worked out well. Luca met us the first day at our hotel and we were off! Luca was extremely patient with my son, and focused him relentlessly on perfecting some core skills that needed tweaking. Over the four days he consistently worked with my son and we were rewarded with tremendous improvement. We had lunch together each day (Luca knew the best spots - recommend you book lunch as soon as possible each day - or even build a day around some of the more high demand mountain restaurants - just tell Luca and he'll organize it). Luca was easy going, insightful and a true pleasure. He speaks a number of languages, has traveled the world, and I have no doubt he could teach anyone from anywhere to be a great skier. I highly recommend him.
I found Luca as an instructor for my girlfriend, who was a first-time skier at that time. Luca's communication and time/location planning was timely and detailed, was easy to meet him at the resort. I booked two days of lessons, and was very impressed with the progress my girlfriend made during those two days - they jumped off the beginners slope to the blue run quickly, and improved rapidly. The feedback I got from my girlfriend was that Luca was very knowledgeable, was noticing all the problems and chose the best ways to address those, moving at the convenient pace but also fast enough to feel progress. I could easily recommend his services.
Our final day of skiing with Luca and we wished we have booked earlier in the season to ensure we had Luca for our remaining stay @ Zermatt. Luca focused on breaking our bad habits by having us pick up the inside ski to initiate our turns. We now can navigate our way down moguls a few turns at a time as well as traversing in difficult areas. We have no hesitation in recommending Luca for future customers.
Our second day of skiing with Luca and we continued to develop our skills associated with parallel and carved turns, Luca continued to build our confidence so much that we started to complete some black runs in the afternoon. This time we skied on the Italian side which with Luca's guidance we travelled approx. 30km with a 6km vertical. A terrific day of skiing with expert knowledge of the area.
I organised a full day private lesson with Luca, the booking process was quite simple with a prompt response and confirmation. I had a terrific day skiing on the Switzerland side of Zermatt working on my technique (12 months since I last skied). Luca was quite thorough and patient, by the end of the day I was back to where I left off 12 months ago.
I am a very keen skier with over forty years experience. I have had numerous instructors over this time in Austria, France and Switzerland but Luca is way and above the best that I have ever had. I first skied with Luca three years ago for several half days in Zermatt and the following year I returned for five full days. My skiing improved dramatically over that period. I have just had another full week with Luca and I am now skiing better than I have ever done. It is hard work and testing but Luca has that rare ability of getting the best out of people and making learning fun.
You can arrange the meeting point with your chosen instructor by using the Maison Sport messaging system. We recommend agreeing this before you book your lessons, but it can always be arranged at a later date. The instructor should be able to suggest somewhere that is convenient for you both.
Any instructor that has a blue ‘verified’ tick icon on their profile has had their qualifications vetted and verified by the Maison Sport team, the level of qualification required to have a verified account on Maison Sport varies slightly by country. As follows: France – all verified instructors must carry a ‘Carte Professionelle’ licence, the qualification requirements for this licence are very high. The licence is administered by the French Government (to attain a Carte Professionelle most instructors will have studied for an average of 5 years+ to attain the correct level of qualification). Aside from requiring the instructor to have the highest level of qualification, which includes numerous teaching and technical performance diplomas in skiing or snowboarding, European mountain safety courses and the Euro speed test, the instructors are also required to have a criminal record check and a first aid certificate. Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Finland, Scotland, Spain – all verified instructors must carry a minimum level of qualification which must be at the ISIA card level or above. Instructors working independently must provide documentation to show they meet the local regulatory requirements to do so and instructors that are working for a ski school must provide details of the school they work for.
Unless otherwise agreed with the instructor no more than 6 people can take part in a lesson, each instructor will have their own policy for this, so it is best to just double check with them by sending a message. Most instructors won't charge extra if there is more than 1 person taking part in the lesson, but always best to check with them before booking.s
